Mandarin Chinese Programs

We started offering Mandarin Chinese classes in fall 2006, and it has been going well. We have been fine-tuning our curriculum to include games, songs, basic vocabulary and to use TPR Storytelling methods for Mandarin. TPR Storytelling is an amazing language acquisition technique that helps accelerate language acquistion. Students learn more, faster through TPR Storytelling!

An introductory course in Mandarin Chinese for beginners with little or no Mandarin background. Class will cover basic greetings, numbers to 100, and other Mandarin basics (tones, etc.), along with TPR Storytelling. This session is designed for children (parents are welcome to sit in). It will be taught to the level that the younger students can excel at and may involve some flexibility on older students' part. We do games, songs, use puppets, art, and pictures to involve children in the learning process.
Location: Puentes Classrooms, 4720 W. Franklin, just east of Orchard in Boise (easy freeway access)
