2013 will be the ninth
year of Puentes Summer Spanish camps! Thank you
Boise and Treasure Valley families! Each year we select the favorite
games, songs, and activities, of our students for these fun,
educational
summer camps.
What are Puentes Spanish Camps?
Puentes Spanish camps are a fun, intensive language experience
for new and continuing Spanish learners aged 6-12. Ages 18mo -
5 can participate as part of our Preschool
/Kinder Programs year
round or just during the summer months. We always
teach our camps (and our classes, and our preschool) entirely
in Spanish because, like learning our native language, this
is how our brains LEARN LANGUAGE! It's scientifically
proven!
Our camps will immerse your child
in the Spanish language in the same way they learned their native
language. With fun interactive games, cultural
activities, songs, crafts, food, gardening, conversation, and
TPR Storytelling, your child will progress rapidly in their language
ability while having a lot of fun.
Not only are these camps something
fun and different for your kids to do this summer,
but they will go a long way
toward giving them a life skill
for their future by building a love of another language and culture.

9:00 - 9:30 Bienvenidos (Welcome, song time)
9:30 - 10:00 Huerta y Jardin (gardening)
10:00 - 10:45 Cuentos (interactive storytime)
10:45 - 11:00 Merienda (snack)
11:00 - 12:00 Proyectos (arts, crafts, hands-on activities)

12:00 - 12:30 Jugar afuera (outdoor playtime)
12:30 - 1:00 Almuerzo (lunchtime)
1:00 - 1:30 Cuentos (storytime, reading)

2:00 - 3:00 Juegos (board games, outdoor games, team
games)
3:00 - close Tiempo Libre (freetime - usually outdoor
play)
